22 April is Earth Day.

All one needs to live is:

food/water,
communication,
fuel,
hardware (in broad sense),
and - area on Earth.

Everyday is Earth day.

The reason why we face ecological disaster is because we forgot how important the Earth actually is.
We are so busy trying to live the human race we ignore the source of life.

Having Earth Day is like having House Day.
Most of us maintain our house daily.
We take care of it, clean it, maintain it and so on.
Yet we ignore our planet till it gets so bad we can't ignore it anymore.
So we dedicate one day to focus on it.
Imagine what your home would look like if you only focused on it one day per year?

When I was much younger, my sister would take me on her college campus on what was called "Ag. Field Day". We did that for years. That was always in April. Good days.

your right ... I do all I can ... for the environment I live in ...

now I heard in Pa they recycles the plastic bags u get from stores and use to be a place to drop them off ... thought that was neat ... me I live in the country... an every thing I throw away something in my kitchen ...I use a bag so it want stink up my inside garbage... and we are allowed to burn ... most cases I recyclable the cans ...

and so many other doing good that do for this ... but we live in a world that does not care about the future damaged that they are doing today ... the youth are coming around more ... to try and save what they can of this planet ... Earth day was a little P*st ... I say mother nature is very angry... at those that are harming the children's futures for their greed ...
