With the drop in traffic on my 6 lane street, I can hear neighbours arguing from even further away. Sometimes I get such a laugh.
Some places refuse to accept cash. I refuse to use cards. At the supermarket, clear plastic screens have appeared around the checkout operators. Massive lines waiting outside social security. Public transport not so full, and sometimes empty. Fuel prices significantly lower than recent times. Not seeing so many street people, with bags and shopping trollies full. Not seeing many cops cruising about. Less activity on my local dating site; people scared to actually meet. I've been getting bored, and into more trouble than usual. Not just here. |

That'll probably be episode 8 or 9 in the 2020 Season. It follows a pattern every year. Personally I can do without one, but alas the Powers that be will need to drive their agenda somehow.

I am loving the lack of traffic on the roads .. my commute to the city is much speedier . Finding a park close to the hospital (usually horrendous) is now easy peasy . But the best positive result ....a Big Decline in road traffic traumas . Missing my caffiene fix on the way home ..,after a 12 hr shift !!! Hospital coffee is yuck !!! less pollution in the atmosphere.. less littering in the streets . The City seagulls are probably wondering where all the people and free food have gone . Zoom has taken off for workplace meetings and education sessions .. some people do not seem to grasp that yes others in the group can actually see and hear everything they do . Doctors Are also using video calls for consultations . love this ... and grateful for it ... |

A lot has gone back to as good as normal over here. Office workers go in less so they can keep the required space and they work from home.
Schools have started again or will after the summer holiday. Supermarkets are crazy busy again and no one gives a toss about keeping the required 1,5 meters distance anymore. Tourist are back and they don't seem to care at all. The island is flooded with Germans again. Campsites are open to full capacity again or very close to. Big events are still cancelled. No one stocks food, no one really did. I only saw some old people do this when it first started. There is no need to stock anything, and there never was. There has always been plenty of everything. The only time you see empty spots on shelves is when they cannot refill fast enough due to the tourists. This is, however, normal here. |

Saving more than enough money for daily sushi dates once I can travel out of state.
