Had the living daylights scared out of me... my son is in hospital. Thank goodness it's nothing life threatening, he's fallen with his scooter and fell really bad. He's even been operated and needs surgery a 2nd time. Why I don't know yet, but dammit did I get a scare! Why the heck you need surgery 2x for a wrist?? Must've been bad.
He's still in hospital, so he's in good hands. |

Thank you. Yes, hearing "I'm in hospital" after seeing a photo with him left underarm in a cast, and without knowing what and why yet... I was in immediate red alert and fear. But glad he thought of informing me even though it was quite late (past 10pm). |

So scary but sounds like they are taking good care of him! Thank you, KitKat!! And yes, sounds like they are. I'm now just wondering if the second surgery is his wrist, but I'll have to let it go for now and wait what I hear tomorrow. At least he's safe where he is. I do effing hate my kid being in hospital and me not being there. Been there before when my daughter had a bad fall while in the USA and needed extensive surgery on her elbow. And again later to have the pins and chit removed as they bothered the bone too much. It was god awful to be here and her there so far away in hospital. I guess that's still stuck in my craw, affected this things now. |

I was putting a new fish finder in my boat and it didn't go as well as I expected....that and I'm tired of this stay at home stuff.
But when I get frustrated I just walk away and go back to what I was doing later.....and don't throw tool when I get frustrated like when I was younger.

Relieved to have heard a bit more from my son. He has been on a drip all night cos of pain
And just had a CT scan. I'm now wondering what exactly is/was wrong. He said something about a dislocated bone and a nerve being trapped. Well, wait and see. If he knows more about the CT he likely gets to go home. |

I'm just off the phone with him. He's home, doesn't need painkilling right now, no info yet from the CT yet. Surgeon will phone about it tomorrow. During surgery they couldn't do much more because it was too swollen. His wrist was as fat as his upper arm, and he couldn't move his fingers anymore, they were curled up like in a fist. Phew... Glad that for now he's okay. |

During surgery they couldn't do much more because it was too swollen. His wrist was as fat as his upper arm, and he couldn't move his fingers anymore, they were curled up like in a fist. Phew... Glad that for now he's okay. Hope the CT comes out with a good result. My Dad is waiting for his as well. Hopefully tomorrow, but it might be Monday next, coz of the bank holiday
