Topic: Now that most of us have

The problem is mostly a product of the smart phones many people use. Miniature keyboard you use your thumbs with instead of an actual keyboard you can actually type (keyboard) on.

Actually, it's more an issue of people being lazy. The misuse of technology makes us lazy.

And just who defines what is a misuse of technology? Or as with many such statements, it is only the commentators personal opinion...

Everyone misuses technology. Technology has evolved beyond us and it will be far into the future before we evolve to a point where we are caught up with technology. Until then, we will misuse it.

My girl does the typing with her thumbs on her phone, and I think she's as fast with it as with 10 fingers on a keyboard. I can't do that with my thumbs. I use my index finger.

Haha, it took me a few minutes, I got mixed up with the numbers too. You're welcome.

Yes, as soon as I spot numbers my brain shuts down and says "No, no, we can not digest that!"
I also don't see how 8 translate into 'it', but alas...

I always thought "txtxspeek" was invented as a combination of saving characters for the very short era where we had to pay by the amount of text, with people who like to feel "clever."

Lots of slang is mainly all about establishing who's "in" and who's not.

As for technology, I noticed a while back, that finding ways to misuse it is always the second thing people start looking to do, the moment it's available. It's sort of a side effect of natural creativity.

on the contrary, misuse is "in the eye of the beholder"...if i am using it to achieve my objective, THAT is not misuse, it is exactly doing what I want it to...Most tools have many uses regardless of what the inventor intended...lack of foresight by an inventor to identify many other uses does not by definition place those other uses in a misuse category IMO...
