What a horrific experience. As a war veteran I too have had my share of gunfire, as well as rockets, mortars, IEDs and grenades so I can empathize with how you feel. For several years I couldn’t understand why I would suddenly, and for no apparent reason, be gripped by rage and/or depression. Thank God the VA fixed up.

I would like to help others embrace their mental illness. Many gifts come from a creative mind. And psych wards are like meet and greets. tons of fun

Madness need not be all breakdown. It may also be break-through. It is potential liberation and renewal as well as enslavement and existential death.

They are playing a game. They are playing at not playing a game. If I show them I see they are, I shall break the rules and they will punish me. I must play their game, of not seeing I see the game

People who identify as part of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community are at higher mental health risk compared to others. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), "LGB adults are more than twice as likely as heterosexual adults to experience a mental health condition. Transgender individuals are nearly four times as likely as cisgender individuals to experience a mental health condition". Many factors aside, this is because many people identifying as LGBTQIA+ face discrimination, family rejection, harassment, and fear of violence.

I'm sure you are correct but I gave up on trying to figure out the alphabet soup groups long ago.

yaa,
And it's honestly horrible that barely a few people understand.
Nobody is tolerant with people who like me , I have ptsd , AN , depressiona and social fobia and anxiety.
I hate being mentally ill and the worst part is that nobody acknowledges it as an actual illness...
