If love is a crime, would you go to jail for love

I've been accused of many things.
Fortunately, love has never been
one of them.

Luckily I live in a country and culture where love is not a crime.
Nobody gets convicted and sentenced for loving someone.

There are exceptions;
Rapists might say they love the people they rape.
Child molesters might say they love the children they molest.
Murderers often kill because of love.
Kidnappers sometimes kidnap because of love.

BUT:
They don't go to jail convicted of love.
Rapists and child molesters go to jail as sexual predators.
Murderers go to jail for murder.
Kidnappers go to jail for kidnapping.
Not love...

You can go to jail for doing some really stupid things in the name of love but you never go to jail for loving someone.

If love requires that kind of sacrifice, is it really love?

Why should I go to jail for love? Unless she is in jail too and I need to be with her.
Sounds silly to be separated from your love by going to jail. I would rather be with them and not apart.

Since “love” is not a crime no I wouldn’t go to jail for it. Think on this if a person really and truly loves you they shouldn’t ask you to do something that goes against what you believe in and in turn I wouldn’t ask them either.

Also if someone says “if you let love me then you’ll do it for me” isn’t real love but control or is the controlling kind so if you can get out of that relationship and move on.

Have you ever seen what jail/prison does to people? Changes them? To the people in and out of jail?
No one has ever gone to law school, cop training, or jail/prison, and become a better person from it.

No! The opposite of love is hate, and I will not live in such an environment. I'd simply move to a place where it isn't a crime to love.

As far as going to jail for the one I love... No, I wouldn't. That's not what love would do. It makes no sense, nor does it serve a purpose for me to go to prison for the choices others make.
