Romances are gained and romances are lost
Why in the end is that our heart must pay the cost
A never ending search to find what we need
Racking our brains and with our emotions we plead
Wandering in and out of happiness feeling its right
To have only them turn on you and cause pain out of spite
Eyes are beginning to open and see this is not healthy
Where love is concerned I am but a poor man not one that is wealthy
The end it draws near and the shadows consume
My place so it may seem is right here in this room
Devastation my partner of feelings and thought
The only thing love has to offer is the pain that its brought
Bound with invisible chains that clamp not to my wrist
No longer having the strength to simply clench a fist
A moment of clarity has passed by once again
These walls have consumed me and I shall stay right here within
For no longer shall I set myself in that familiar place
No longer can I bear to see the sadness in my face
Upon glancing in the mirror day in and day out
I can no longer live with a heart that refuses to release love refuses to shout
A nonexistant hope now hovers above my fate
And so I write down from my heart this rhyme I now create
The agony of defeat dwells strong from this point on
Only can I hope that this ramble is wrong
