"He acts (and often votes) quite the conservative" Howland....I think his record speaks just the opposite ( I think his being the democrats choice for vice president is proof enough) The only "conservative" view I think he has held, is his support for the Iraq war. It's a shame the the Dem party abandons anyone who may differ or does not pull the party line on any one given subject. But it certainly doesn't surprise me ![]() ![]() ![]() Lieberman is 'hardly a Democrat' in more ways than 1. He ran as an independent last time. H abandoned the Dems, not the other way around. As for the Dems abandoning anyone not pulling the party line....wel that's a unique vision of the party of 'inclusion'. It's typically criticized for not having a clear vision. It's the Republicans who punish those who don't goosestep to one beat. |

msn..think you should re-check your facts...the Dems backed the other candidate(because of Liebermans position on Iraq) which forced him to run as an independant.
