PJ...Yes I would vote for Regan or Bush OVER Biden.....If I was a "BUSH" guy I'd probably be swinging toward Mitt Romney or Rudy Giulianne. But ...having said that...you have taken this way off topic...but that is expected...from a Biden supporter.

One clarification...I am a "BUSH" guy after all...Love Bush:heart:   ...but don't care too much for the President:wink:

fast end to this debate...do you think YOUR "vote" makes ANY difference?? NOT!

The electorial college decides and that means money/government/powers that be elect who is President.

So its a waste of breath unless you really want to change it back to where the "peoples" vote counts! bigsmile

I may not agree, but it is your opinion. Good luck

obviously you don't comprehend the importance of the electorial college and why the founding fathers wanted it that way. If we didn't have it, every president would be elected by the big northern cities..like New York, Philly etc..none of the less populated states in the south or west would ever have any say in our govenment. Think about it.

I have thought about it. The system needs a SEVERE OVERHAUL! The President , Congress and Senate have not done sh*t for DECADES NOW and it's ONLY GETTING WORSE!

What you are founding the "electorial college" on was ONCE a good idea, but now, like EVERYTHING else in the "system has been manipulated by greed and power!

There is NO REASON now, that the "people's vote" (otherwise known as the popular vote) should not be COUNTED and HELD!

They keep the electorial college in place now because THEY HAVE CONTROL OF IT!

Let me guess..you voted for Bush!!??? The man has TWO IQ points to rub together on a GOOD DAY!!! And that's YOUR LEADER..NOT MINE! I did not put them there, nor will I follow them.

I'm not "Democrat" and I am not "Republican"..I am AMERICAN! I think it applies just as Teddy Rooservelt put it regarding "immigrants"...

***In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such m an because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'
Theodore Roosevelt 1907***

I have not only "thought" about it...but I have "blead" for it, the RIGHTS and FREEDOM of the AMERICAN PEOPLE..PERIOD! No "Democrats", no "Republicans"... AMERICANS!

Sum..I agree 100% with

However...if not for the electoral college...the "popular" vote would still be monopolized by the big , populated cities, and states with less people still need a voice.

To deny Republican or Democrat and just say American is all to unrealistic, yes there are many parties (all American) including the socialist, communist and independant parties all of which are very active, but except for a few independants in congress there are only two viable parties...both being "AMERICAN" Democrat and Republican.

Ok,let me ask you this..why make things so complicated??? we easily have the sourse to just count up all the votes, whoever has the most wins!??? Majority rules..right?? Now whats so hard about that? NOTHING!

And all these other "parties" as you call them do nothing but DIVIDE the country in BAD ways now.

Want proof? Just look at our EDUCATION SYSTEM! We are breeding IDIOTS! And because of the bureacratic BULLSH*T our CHILDREN LOSE! Look at our healthcare system! More bureaucratic BULLSH*T and WE ALL LOSE! Look at our seniors! More of the same BULLSH*T from the UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT! Our ELDERLY SUFFER! I could go on FOREVER and show proof after proof of things failing all across the board!

BOTTOM LINE..AMERICA LOSES due to POLITICAL BULLSH*T!!

They can TALK all they want and you can continue to believe them! But I'm "old school", you better put "ACTION" behind those words, otherwise they are HOLLOW WORDS and MEAN NOTHING! I have watched it now for DECADES and it's only getting WORSE!

Put me in Congress or the Senate. I'll tell those SOB's "OK, get your sleeping bags up here and whatever else you might need for the next week or so, because we are locking these doors and NO ONE LEAVES UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED IN FULL!" I can stay up for days on end and I would create a philibuster(sp?) like this country has never seen! For ONE PURPOSE..to make sure the American people get what is RIGHT!

No "hiding" no "political" agenda. I won't even take a salary! Give that to the police and fire dept who put thier lives on the line EVERYDAY for us! To the teachers who teach our children, our FUTURE! to the seniors who can;t even afford thier prescriptions to LIVE!

So tell me...whats so complicated about that???

I'm pretty much a hardcore Democrat, but I used to respect McCain for his independence, but over the last 4-6 years he's definitely caved into the party pressure. I think Karl Rove must have gotten to him. He hasn't been the same since, pretty much goose-stepping in time with whatever the Bush admin wants. Too bad, I actually thought he was different.

Another great example. I have NO DOUBT that you MsNJ and Serchin are bright intelligent people! And to watch you say the thing you say here about our "political system" the things that you do, just in a way baffles the hell out of me!

Like you truly 'expect" something to happen from our "politicians"!!???

What or who has "brainwashed" you to such a point that you honestly believe these "words" and "promises" over and over again and you keep getting screwed!

Its like a cheating spouse that keeps saying "Honey I;ll do right by you this time! Things wll be different this time" and as soon as you commit to giving them another chance...they screw you AGAIN! And the worst part is, YOU DO IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!! WHEN WILL YOU WAKE UP AND LEARN!!???

It's like you don't see the "writing on the wall". Are people truly that OBLIVIOUS!???

Our government have been screwing the American people for DECADES! They passify them by giving them a little here and a little there and as long as the majority are either too scared to "buck the system" or they are content where they are personaly in the economic ladder, then things continue on it's downward spiral of decay.

Once again, the proof is right in front of your eyes! Looks at our education system, our social security system, our crime rates, health care, the illegal immigration issue, the political bullsh*t that continues all due to "party lines" while Americans suffer!

Wake up folks!

So if you have a
McCain-Lieberman
ticket, McCain
becomes Prez and
Lieberman Vice-Prez,
so Democrats and
Republicans will
come together like
one big happy family?

I wouldn't lay odds
on it, bucko!!!

Sum...you sound like a very disgruntled Gore loser..."what is so hard about popular vote..majority wins". I guess you just don't get the concept of electoral college....so no point in going on. If you don't like it...change it...I respect that.

Mccain is wayyyyyyyy to religious. Biden would have been the best candidate, great track record and the most experience in foreign policy.

Biden is my first choice. I've never seen him "flip flop" and the guy's actualy quite brilliant. A real thinker, in alot of ways he reminds of woodrow wilson, progressive, logical, honest and straightforward. Even those who don't like Biden, have to respect that when asked a question, actualy gives an answer;^]

ROFL..well you sound like an IDIOT who knows nothing but BOOK INFO or what you get FED from the MEDIA!

No, I NEVER voted for Gore or Bush or ANY DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN! Did you NOT get that HINT from all the OTHER POSTS I did???

Wow! Talking about missing a CLEAR MESSAGE! No wonder our country is in such shambles with people like YOU in it!

Just goes to show the old saying is true.. "You can lead STUPID to water, stuff thier face down in it..they don;t drink, but then STILL complain they are THIRSTY!

And change it I would, except all YOUR TYPE of IDIOTS out there make that basically impossible now! Its CLEAR you could not understand the SIMPLE SOLUTIONS! You are brainwashed or just an idiot who believe what he READS or is FED by media! you are so busy trying to figure out some trig formula, when the equation really breaks down into simple addition, subtractiong, multiplication or division!

So go vote your "party lines". You'll see NOTHING change..and you deserve what you get. So YOU stop complaining about it, because YOU are one of the IDIOTS that put those people there! DUH!!! bigsmile

Biden is a racist. His comments would have cost a Republican their seat and their career, but he's actually risen and is now running for president. Shows you the difference in how the MSM treats Republicans vs Democrats.
