ya'll may know ol' ladies man machster has gotten real close to Dana in a serious way, right? Well it's right for you smartasses out there lol j/k. But here is the deal, we have known each other awhile now, but the journey towards meeting each other has becom an almost "not gonna happen" situation, one thing finances, another kids. We really wanna be with each other though, but in reality can we overcome this fork in our road or do we need to just let it be cyber world adventure that'll leave us always wondering?? What can we do, I am all out of ideas!

You can go anywhere in the continental USA for less than $99 on Greyhound . That's one way ofcourse but really not that much cash .

Not true on Greyhound... to Phoenix from Chicago 1 way for me and 2 kids it's $470.00.

Where are you traveling to/from?

Why not save tax refunds or somebody get a 2nd job to make a little extra cash for the roadtrip?

Where there's a will there's a way.

I know there are other Charter Bus lines depending... Van Gehlder goes throughout the midwest and it costs less than Greyhound...

okay locations? both stateside?

Usually the prices on tickets have certain blackout dates and many exceptions....

Lots of questions to think about....

Where you gonna stay? Is it appropriate with kids (ages?) to stay with her? Hotel? How much time together, are you both going to be off work? Can the kids be babysat by other family to have some quiet time for you to wine n dine her? Is there a time that the kids are out of school? Spring Break? Is the dad in the picture to watch them for your time to gether then?

I know a swampload of q's, but things to consider...

yeah there's that - and perhaps working it out in advance with the ex's regarding how to re-work custody and/or visitation to allow for relocation if it ever comes to that...

but first, just get together in person and see how it goes.
airflight on stand-by or something ought to be a viable option...

also i would think. either of you know anyone with access to a plane? i had a friend once fly me up to Vt for the day to spend the day with some of my friends whom he had never met, go on a day hike, and enjoy the fall foliage. it was fun!!

if your so broke you cant meet her one time, then what makes you think a long distance thing will ever work? i say get a second job, get your finances right, then try dating...not the other way around.

Well all I can say were there is a will there is a way.

If I could dig up the money to fly out of state single mom raising two kids and both still living at home at one time then if you really want it you can do it if you smoke slow down and save money if you go out partying a couple times a week go once and put back what you normal spend.

But then you better realize what are you going to do if you think they are all that end it at that or what it is not cheap or easy having a LDR. So always think before you leap. It is a tough decsion. Been there done that.bigsmile

texas to north carolina,

already checked with other family members and childrens fathers to see if they would be able to keep them at all, no go,

i'll be lucky to get a first job much less a second one any where around where i live, high demand but not many to go around right now, and gas prices being what they are, going to far out of town would be pointless,

the simple fact that we are trying to find away to be together says alot, and we will figure it out,

the greyhound travel anywhere is great but its' not $99 for all trips, depends on how many miles round trip your going , if your going one way or round trip , how many tickets you need, i checked already, i'm also checking orbitz and travelocity, amtrack and other transportation means,

any deals that anyone has heard of would be greatly appreciated if they are shared,
