Hi there. I was chatting with a member briefly and decided to block him as he was a little too weird for me and I was concerned. Within minutes of leaving Mingle2 I opened my Facebook and there was a friend request from him there. I need to know 1) How did he know my full name, I never told him. And 2) how would he have found me on Facebook? I never gave any personal info to him. He would only have had access to my profile info from Mingle2 which as far as I know does not give out other social media info on its members or their full names unless I post it as my profile name. Can someone please help me get the answers here??

Thank you!

He used tineye, google photo search,
or some other search engine.

Apparently, you're using the same photo(s)
here, that you use on your fb account.

How does that make FB scary stuff? One could also say it makes Mingle scary stuff.
What it comes down to is taking responsibility for your online things, name and photos.
NEVER EVER use photos on dating sites that you also use your social media. Keep these absolutely separated and different.
And if someone knows your first name and where you live I think you can also quite easily find them on social media by searching for these two perimeters.

If someone you are talking to happens to find you I also don't see why this is immediately a big hairy deal. It means YOU got their details too. And you can decline the request, tell them it's way too soon for you to do that.
If it is some creep, then why are you talking to them to begin with? I'd say you could tell by the time you tell them your real first name.

Also, it's Mingle that can be scary as they do not protect the photos you use on here. There are dating sites that do not allow the right click-Google Image search, not even downloads of members' photos.
But a photo on here when right clicked and "Google Image" searched shows EACH and every topic you have every posted here. Use that picture on another website... You catch my drift.

I assure you that Mingle2 does not share e-mails or any info that members add while signing up..

Yes you can google the pics for Google is their Main Advertisers..

What happens with some they tend to share their e-mails with others that are not legit not thinking about it and then get e-mails from sources they don't know..
