Should I have a lock code
On my phone while in a committed Relationship?? |

Is your intent to keep secrets from your partner?
It's a good idea, to have a lock code, if your phone gets lost or stolen. But, if you're not hiding anything, share the pass code with your partner. |

But my phone isn't a part of my relationship,so my partner should not be permitted to view the contents of my phone

This begs the question of trust!
Without trust there can be no committed relationship. |

But my phone isn't a part of my relationship,so my partner should not be permitted to view the contents of my phone A mistress wouldn't be part of your relationship either. It will however affect and harm your relationship. If you're cheating (your other topic) and hide things on your phone, up to you. So are the effects of it on your relationship. |

I have never had my phone where I had to have it locked from anyone..
To me one does that cause they are doing something wrong in the first place.. If I'm in a relationship and my partner wanted to go through my phone have at it...I have nothing to hide... Had a ex bf that started every time he was on the computer he started logging all the way off just to go outside to have a cig.. Talking about red flag. We both had our own desk and computers in my office at home.. Well my daughter needed to use mine for college paper... The way my office was set up at the time we had to shut the door due to mine was over behind the door.. While she had to do her homework he logged off and then told me I could use his computer since I was playing games online.. He forgot to log off of his e-mail all the way.. Found out why he was logging off and shutting his computer down all the way.. He was showed the door really quick.. So if ya was not up to something this question would not even cross your mind.. |

Are you sure it's your partner whom you should consider when you add a screen lock? How about staying on the safe side in case of losing the phone?

If it's your phone, you have a right to do what you want with it, unless you're on a family plan.

Cat, the OP is seeking validation from
us. Because, he's being a cowardly sneak, using his phone, to cheat on his partner. He wants a pat on the back from us, for cheating and lying to his partner. |

He actually never said he was in a committed relationship.

Yes, he did say he was.
In his other thread, specifically about cheating. |

Ok. I didn't see the other thread.

That's right Cat, he said his partner was a slob in bed and wanted to know if it was okay to sleep with other women. Now he wants to know if it's okay for him to lock his phone so she can't access who he calls or texts.
