me personally i find it easier going up to guy when he is by himself..you dont have to worry about his friends being a!!'.

Is it every socially acceptable to go out to a bar or lounge alone??? Don't be shy leave your opinion...every one counts! yes. but its not socially acceptable to remain alone the entire time you are there! you gotta make friends

Yes it's acceptable...It's how comfortable you are within your own skin....
I'm not into the bar scene....however I go to movies alone and sometimes I'll even eat out alone...Nothing wrong with that..

I generally don't go out alone. It's not something I enjoy, would much rather go with someone. I can't help but then notice all the "couples" out there.....

I go out alone quite a bit, restaurants, movies, whatever. But, I don't feel comfortable in bars when I'm alone. I'm pretty shy and generally don't feel comfortable starting a conversation. If someone starts one with me, that I can do.

I go everywhere alone. Long ago I tired of dealing with my girlfriend's drama so I find it easier to go and leave as I please. If there is still a "stigma" to a female going to bars alone, then so be it.

home office, no work mates travel 40% of the time divorced father of 2...1 week on 1 week off not much of a cook eliminated negative people from my life don't like domestic duties If I didn't go out alone I would never have a good meal,drink,company....I believe the Irish always have a "Local" or nearby pub...Daily trips to your local will eventually lead to some good friendships, dates, and food |
