we all go through tough times throughout our lives, how do we cope with lives problems, are we damaged forever internally, can we muster the strength to carry on...is there an easy way to cope...how do you handle your problems if not at all

Thanks for the great topic I have to say it’s a process at first I cry :sob: feeling puzzled and frustrated doing my best to solve all the problems praying and talking to friendly people getting support from others ... what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger now although I don’t know what’s ahead of me

your way of coping is the right way for you, i would always advise people to talk to others about there problems, if problems are bottled up the situation becomes more problematic

how do we cope with lives problems

Assuaging emotions.

are we damaged forever internally

Yes.

can we muster the strength to carry on

Some can, some can't.
Some need others to be able to.
Some are inhibited by others.
Some think they can, but can't, and sometimes they "muster" something else and go off on a tangent as a means of avoidance.

All sorts of combinations.

.is there an easy way to cope

That's too subjective.

how do you handle your problems

Depends on the problem.

i would always advise people to talk to others about there problems, if problems are bottled up the situation becomes more problematic

And sometimes talking to others about them brings up new problems altogether.

In the military we wrapped what we called a "drive on rag" around our necks. When things got really tough out in the bush, you used it to wipe the sweat off your face and "drove on".

I try not to look back at all costs, and I keep myself busy with long-term goals. That doesn't erase your memories about bad experiences or tough times, but it helps to get you distracted from them and stay focused on the future.
