Haha, guess I'm weird... he's okay and hot in some of his photos, but I find when I'm watching a movie or show with him in it, he's not the one that holds my attention, least likely actually. Like in Stargate Atlantis... Joe Flanigan is the one that I end up pining over.

Maybe cause here this Joe plays the alpha male, taking the lead? (From what I see in photos, I don't know him nor the series).
I sometimes also fancy an actor because the character has the qualities I'm hoping to find in my man. I have that with Terence Knox (Tour of Duty series). Oh boy, did that man ring my bells, haha, both the character and looks. A few years back I watched it again, and I felt myself falling for him all over again, hihi. I don't really have a type, but he's the type I most prefer.
David Cubitt (detective Lee in Medium) is the same type. Oh god, could I fall for that!
If the younger version of Terrence -or David- & Jason were to be in one series Jason doesn't stand a chance, hihi. He only rings my eye-candy bell.

Joe does take the lead, so I believe you're right. Having a strong character who's not afraid to face whatever is thrown at him are traits that are attractive to me. And being a little more than a pretty face, haha.
