I used my rose-colored glasses to make a suit of armour around my heart.
It has openings which I now control.
I now have better emotional maturity.
It also helps that I understand how love works and what it actually is.

What ciretom said is true.
We change from experiences.
Sometimes we gain wisdom, sometimes it takes a bit longer.

If ya keep making the same mistakes again and again, you have not yet learned the wisdom you need.

Ever had a terrible heart break? Going into a new relationship, will you still open your heart like you did before that got it broken?

Yes and

No

I have indeed been able to do that.
My last partner was more difficult to recover from. But personally I feel that if you cannot open up to love again you best not try it either.
As it is I do feel I'm ready for love, and with that to open up.

Hi! I lost my wife Laura and for 3 years and 6 months I couldn’t bring myself to love again, but still woke up to make peace with myself and my wife’s spirit so I can move on. So your right dear, it takes a willing heart to find love again, no matter what the heart have been through...

I will never fall for a brokenhearted man again!! I did it once and when he was healed he went back to his ex. I think i just helped him to face his demons. A month later they broke up again and he wanted me back. It's been 3 years now but i will never take him back

It has a name, it's called a cheater vacation.

Also called a rebound.
