If you mean, does religion affect a relationship? If you are the same religion as the other person, then probably not. If the other person is a different religion ( or an atheist I suppose) then the answer must be yes. Not only must each of you come to some agreement ( is one of you going to convert, or are you going to carry on as your original faiths? Then if you carry on in your different faiths, what happens if you have children? What faith are going to bring the children up as, or will you let them choose for themselves when they are old enough?
If the two people involved are of different faiths, then their is almost certainly going to be family and societal pressures on one person to convert and face the potentially serious consequences of disapproval from one or both families and elements of the wider society whatever decision you make. If you meant something else, then you'll need to explain it and frame it as a clearer question. |

you can love an idea but an idea cannot love you
you can love religion but religion is incapable of loving you back. but if you find the Source to Life itself, then you can build and establish an Relationship. a Relationship is where you LOVEm and then Whom you love loves You back. But the Source has Loved you before day one. so, when you have a Relationship with the real and actual Source, your love is meeting where the Source's Love has been waiting. and when you finally Connect, you know what Love is because you begin trying to love all others in your own way. that is greater than Religion in itself... |

The trickiest thing about love, in any situation, is figuring out what it really is about. Whether it is love of the core person, or love of their lifestyle, or love of your own imaginations about them and yourself. Barriers to a happy time together don't remain or fall away because of the existence of love, they do so because of what the love really consists of. |

Based on my personal experience, don’t enter a relationship with a person with different religious beliefs and an intention to force him/her to convert. In case, he/she agreed to convert her religion for you, then the next sensible thing you can do is to ensure that your family will not abuse your chosen woman (women of different background usually experience abuses from the men’s family especially in the Arab region). Be man enough to house her away from your family especially if you know that your own family is against her. But it is a different story of course if your chosen one is a Western woman. A visa to her country is an immediate solution. And that’s it for me for someone who worked in Arab countries for years.
