Pat and his wife Mary sitting at the table the other day. Says Mary, C'mere Pat, can you give us a lift to the charity shop later? I have a few bags of clothes I wanna donate. Says Pat, It would be easier, just to throw them in the bin. Says Mary, But there is people starving in this world, they can't afford to buy clothes. Says Pat, People who fit into your clothes are deffo not starving. ...A few minutes later, Pat was admitted to A&E

I liked that. I thought it was funny. I didn't understand the last line, though. What is A&E?

Thanks Larsi. I appreciate your responding. We just call it the Emergency Room here, or ER for short. Now I get the last line, it's even funnier now.
