OK Being from Las Vegas I believe I'm somewhat qualified to make the odds for the human race here.My thoughts are 10 to 1 againest. Reasons : We have nuclear capablities.And every country wants one.M.A.D. Mutually Assured Destruction. 2. Humans are more animals then we want to admit. Survival of the Fittest.This is causing the Earth to get rid of excess population(ie: AIDS,Natural Disasters,Famine,drought,etc)3. And I heard somewhere recently that human are the only species that destroy for fun,and use resources simply because we can.4 Everything that has ever lived has died.Sometimes it takes longer.5. The sun is supposed to go supernova (or something like that) in 10,000 years.Once that happens, End of the World,regardless of any God personages.And for us...We have a lot of capabilities when really backed into a corner.Hence it's not higher.So even if we move to a different planet.There will be an End of the World (Earth) someday.

Im surprised my scientific friends are nervous about other events blanking the earth. I think someone will live through these bad events from outer space. Just like when the dinosaurs went after the K-T Impact that caused Chicxulub crater in Yucatan, Mexico. There was still life that made it through. So I will make the bet in Gold. Like I said the earth is Billions of years old. It will be here for Billions more. I just want the people who claim the end times are here now to step up to the plate. Have faith in your convictions and put a little money on it. I say we are not in the end times. I would even go so far as to say that we may live it the most glorious times the earth has ever seen. Control on many disease, elimination of some terrible ones, instant communication, the ability to carry an orchestra in your pocket. We are in glorious times indeed.
