Now that I definitely agree with you on lilith. Though, if I'm gonna see a girl's legs, they should definitely be shaved. :) I take my dates as they come. I've had dates where I thought, ehh... she's okay. And it was the best date ever. I've had dates where I thought WOW, but it wasn't. Chemistry is tough to come by. I don't necessarily think that it's a men/women issue though. When I used to buy flowers for a first date, girl friends told me that was too forward. I came to understand and agree with them.

I was just in a relationship for the last 8 months. I thought she was the girl for me, so I asked her to marry me last month. She accepted.

I did not mean that it was only a man/woman issue, simply that we are ALL different and the perspective is greatly based on gender. As a woman, I expect the guy to be assertive and forward without being pushy and rude. That's a lot to ask for, and I know it. And the leg shaving comment- if a woman iswearing jeans and you later find she has shaved her legs- she did it for you. That is what I mean. Most women would never, ever show her bare legs without shaving them, and this time of year hose go on! I also think you were confused about my dating is awful comment. I'm not nervous about a date. I'm me. What's awful is just the fact that it is so hard to meeet people you have mutual chemistry with.

Sorry klugman. That really sucks. I may not understand exactly what you're going through, but I've been engaged and dumped before too. It sucks!!

It think its hard to judge someone by the first date....nerves etc get in the way. If you date him a few times and still feel the same way then fine, but dont give up only from the first date.
