Oh I was being nice in my description, im not the kind of guy whos afraid of comitment but this girl was scarrreeey.

Well I've met some really nice people on here, but as far as a connection goes as usual, anybody anywhere near me hears the words "mental illness" and they're gone with the wind expecting the worse. Shame too, seems it's usualy the "normal" guys who turn out to be the biggest a-holes;^]

Last month, one of my exes who was trying to get in touch with me, tracked me down on this site and set up an account just long enough to contact me so we could exchange phone numbers, etc.

We have been talking and spending a lot of time together since then, so I can honestly say that JSH helped facilitate something there.

As far as meeting anybody new, though -- nope, not even close. All the people here who want to date me are 897,000 miles away, and the locals ignore me like I was the reincarnation of Ted Bundy or something.

I still like the site, though, and the people who are 897,000 miles away.

I found someone, but she ended up being a pregnant psycho. She didn't tell me the whole month we talked she might be pregnant then when she did she was all "I don't want to lose you" despite the fact we hadn't even met. Then we were gonna meet and she never officially canceled, but I saw her away message on aim and figured she wasn't gonna spend the day with me. Then she dumped me and I sighed a sigh of relief cuz I was gonna do it to her, but she made my life that much easier. Needless to say we haven't talked since nor do I plan on talking to her ever again!

HHHMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like "low" expectations..

I think there are a couple of things that have an impact here.

First of all, a guy who has been here for a week, and who has made a grand total of 39 posts, probably isn't going to have the ladies flocking all over him. Particularly when most of those 39 posts are of the whiny "u suck" variety. Give it some time and put some effort into it; this isn't "ImmediateGratification.com." People need to get to know you before they feel comfortable contacting you, and the way to get known is by becoming a presence in the forums.

Secondly, I think a lot depends on what it is you're looking for. One thing I've noticed about JSH is that most of the people who are "looking," are "looking" for something more along the lines of the mainstream and traditional. I think you've got a much better chance if you fall into that category; whereas someone like myself, who has as much use for "mainstream and traditional" as I have for an electric napkin, is unlikely to find anyone who meets my particular standards.
