I have some pretty decent qualifications, and Im not even getting call backs on some positions Ive applied for. Im beginning to think my resume sucks. Anyone do this for a living, or have any pointers? I took a class and everything. Im starting to get very frusterated.

i had that same problem a few years ago, look online at some of the firms who do that. look at the examples they show and kinda copy what they did as far as format and creative kinda stuff. worked for me i got tons of call backs just from using more creative wording.

Sometimes the format its in helpes allot! Um... it would be a really long post if I were to go through everything I can think of. actualy, If you wanna delete al your personal information and message me your resume I could help you out with it:smile: If not thats cool too. I wish you luck either waydrinker

Or or! just thought of it. You can go to your local Ontario works or canada servises building and they will actually give you a free resume making class.

I've never had a problem getting a job with my resume. I use a basic format. I use this format

My sister heads up the Human Resources department of an orthopedic supply company. I have always built her resumes. If you need help, just e-mail me.

I have typed up resumes and helped others redo theirs, but I no longer do it for free. Too many people try and take advantage of it and I can no longer give out free advice. Sorry.
