Well, yuck. I want to be clubbed over the head and dragged off. His volcano will soon be spewing something, for sure! |

Are they other men like me who prefer to be with a woman who is in charge in the relationship? What about women? Are they any women who prefer to be in charge in the relationship? And I mean it in a serious long lasting relationship... Dude women have always had control in relationships. They just always Jedi Mind trick us dudes into thinking we have it. |

In my relationship, neither of us are "In Charge" of anything but ourselves.
It works because we are in "alignment" with each other. I don't own her and she doesn't own me. |

Different strokes:
Stumbled on a profile in Mingle where a woman was seeking a man to fit "nontraditional roles." She said she had a domineering character. Also, there's a book, Subversive Thoughts...(Can't recall full title now), written by a woman who thinks a man and wife should lead independent lives under the same roof. I lent the book to a female friend whose fiance soon began accusing her of becoming rebellious. I understand this and could be comfortable with this idea. |

I don't want to be in charge, personally, except of my own choices.
I prefer a spouse who, as the bible says, loves me as he loves his own body and as Christ loved the church. That husband will make decisions that are not about controlling me, but benefitting US, being a provider, protector, and companion. |
