Sorry. I have to say. The best pizza is from New Jersey. Better than my home made pizza? Last one I had was goat cheese/olives/peppers/beef mince/wine tomatoes |

Pickle for your pizza... Pizza topped with pickles anyone?!

I never heard of pickles on pizza, but I guess they put everything on now.

Where does everyone think the best pizza is from? Somewhere close enough that it isn't stale by the time it gets here. Best pizza I've had, was from a place in Richmond Virginia. No longer exists, unfortunately. Something about their unique cheese blend. My sense is that I've never had the BEST pizza. I like the sauces some places use, but not the crust; the crust some places use, but not the spices; the spices some places use, but not the cheese, and so on. If I weren't cursed as a cook, I'd try to make my own. |

I like Papa John's pizza.

I don't like chain store pizza like Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Little Caesars. The best is from family run independent places. I'm traditional, cheese and sauce is best.

I see those pineapple and ham pizzas. Fruit doesn't belong anywhere near a pizza.
|

The best pizza is authentic from Italy

Tomato is a fruit, olive is a fruit.
Ham and pineapple is boring anyway, but caramelised pineapple on a meatlovers or vegetarian gives a sweet burst, in the opposite way an anchovie gives a salty burst. Yum. I like to get the cheapest frozen ones, as a base, 'cook' it, and then load them up with good stuff layer by layer, cooking the tops under the griller, and last thing melt cheese thru it. |

Too much tomato sauce, will ruin a
pizza. |
