“Before You I Stand”


Please don’t take my heart.
If only the ideal too part.
See all I want.
Are no more nightmares to haunt.
I want that kind of love that is real.
The kind my heart they will steal.
Is it out there?
That wants to share.
There life with me.
And take the time to see.
That I can at last.
Put things in the past.
Is it possible?
Or am I on a mission from impossible.
It just seems.
That these dreams.
Seem to be so far away.
And will never come my way.
If only if I would have known.
How to deal with love and had shown.
Would it have been any different at all?
They say one must learn to crawl
First to get were your going.
That is all part of growing.
Well here I stand before you.
I know it is way overdue.
And they say trust.
Is one thing that is an absolute must.
Here I’m before you.
I’m trying my best to be true.
Let’s walk hand n hand.
And help me understand.
I’m pleading with you.
Just to help me through.
