Done the dishes, now considering going to this town fair-thing or not. Now if there weren't any tourists...

Kinda glad to be home again :)
I did go out, not the the town fair in a neighbouring village, but to another village. I couldn't be bothered with the tourists and crowds. And I don't enjoy fairs with 7bft wind gusts either. Went to a few shops I'd been postponing going to, cos of the effing tourist. But now it was nice. They were all in the other town with the fair I think, which I had counted on :) Fries on the way home, supermarket that was insanely busy and noisy. So... glad to be home again, nice to have been out for a bit. |

Ladies sounds like good days.
I finally indulged and got a fitbit. It keeps track of everything, heartrate, steps, workouts, sleep patterns, water and calorie intake, even tells you to take a few minutes to do calming breathing and walks you through it when you're stressed so been playing with it today |

Hihi. Glad you're having fun with it! after some of the decisions I've made... It might do a better job June- Sept are my couch potato months due to the heat... thought it would be a good idea to start now get some base readings, have a better idea of goals to set... It's already calling me a overachiever not for sure this b**ch can hang with me, thinking it might explode when I actually get busy |

A machine calling you an overachiever? Hahahaha...
I also should do more, or better yet: not indulge so much, hihi. Stupid habit I got into last year when I felt like chit when pre-menopause hit me. Drops in estrogen always does funky things to my body and sense of hunger vs. feeling sated. I had that problem during pregnancy too. Horrible! It's now stabilized with the pill but the indulgence I'd gotten in to is somewhat more difficult to normalize again, haha |

what's worse is I'm talking back to it.... plain pi**ed me offwhen it told me my heart rate was excellent.... for a woman my age
Totally understandable, when our bodies goes thru changes, our choices change... sometimes not for the better. But we've still got the option to change our minds multiple times following thru is generally the hard part! This was my motivational present to myself because I'm planning on hitting 60 better than ever! |

This was my motivational present to myself because I'm planning on hitting 60 better than ever! Now that's a nice plan and something to work on. Maybe I should set a goal like that too. But I haven't a machine that scolds me when I bleep up, haha. I'll have to do it all myself, hihi. And yes, it was some getting used to last year. Had a few not so nice months. No hot flashes or anything like that. Just constantly starved, even WHILE eating and directly after. Feeling sick when I didn't eat (to not put on weight and cos I'd just eaten) and feeling sick when I did eat. I seriously felt like I did when I was pregnant haha. |

That sounds horrible! And I remember those months from pregnancy when my body didn't seem like my own( morning sickness myazz... more like24/7 )
But the good news is you got thru it and realize now you are still doing it by habit not need. Goals work for me... generally one long term one(6 months) and then generally do different short term(1 day to1 week) keeps me motivated and I've found I can do anything for1 day ..6 months is overwhelming! |

I think for me it'd have to be something in the middle, like a months. Six months to begin with is too long for me.
In a way much would improve for me if I began cooking my own dinners again. I sometimes do still, but I so dislike cooking that I get something to microwave or stir-fry or a meal-salad from the supermarket, hihi. There's usually potatoes or pasta in those and I don't eat those anymore, esp not potatoes. Very unhealthy and my body always reacts to it. Rewards work well for me too. Not food-rewards of course, but like a crystal. |

I love to cook but don't want to do it 3 times a day/7 days a week, so I generally cook big batches that I can freeze half and microwave the rest in individual meals. And I keep things around that I like and don't have to cook, honeycrisp apple, extra sharp cheddar, natural almond or whole grain toast, cottage cheese, blackberries simple but filling. The trick is to find the things you like! I think the crystals would be a wonderful reward And I think you are beautiful as you are |
