That would be a neat idea.

If you do part of your planning by posting in the forums so everyone can follow, you will keep the topic near the top of the list. A really big challenge to do this and the help of a moderator or 2 to help control the inappropriate postings on the topic thread. They would need to delete the irrelevant postings.

I can probably save up enough money to fly somewhere, but not able to be the "Director"... glad there are some ideas out here...I have yet to meet anyone in my state on the forums or anywhere else.

the third thread thread lasted right up to the get together planning and finding local lodging and even setting up carpools for some that were going to drive to the event

There have been several threads about group mingle meets over the last four years but I don't think any ever happened??? Many on mingle appear to have financial or personal restrictions . Perhaps plan a low key local event first and see how that goes . Best of luck

If there is a Mingle2 meetup in Toronto and I'm healthy enough to attend, I will definitely be there.
