With regards to people messaging you.
I Haven't found that to be true.. Heck, even the scammers seem to have slowed up..guess they are busy with the holidays themselves...LOL

I have noticed it's useually just before Valentine's that they are the most active. My date sites profiles get a lot less attention dureing the actual holidays.

maybe they meant the forums get more active....since folks are off work in general... Could be you're right. But this time of year people are even more busy on their days off.

You're seeing someone, right? Then that tends to happen. Matter of vibration. You are on a more positive, loving and open vibe when you are with someone which attracts people. And yes, that works online just the same. That's why you get this weird phenomenon as well that as soon as you find new love, you're ex contacts you. It's not really weird. All of a sudden you feel great, and everyone is attracted to light.

I haven't noticed it's busier either. Yes, more people have a holiday, but they're also busy with stuff, prepping to celebrate Christmas and going over to family, getting shopping in and so on. Some people actually go somewhere -like a hotel- for a few days.
The ones who don't have any of that are maybe binge drinking and watching movies? |

It is the default story that's always told. I've never really heeded it much myself as I'm not bothered by being single during the holidays. They are special days to me, but I can enjoy that on my own and/or being single. It is typical that most say they don't notice an increase either. For me not an increase on here, nor on the Dutch sites I'm on (not fora, proper dating sites). |

Come to think of it, I DO have an increase in answers of my quiz on a dating site. I didn't get much response to them of late, yet now it's like 11 responses, 12, 18 and so on.

50 Views still results in 1 or 2 women within my age preference.
Of those, none are local. I'm really no longer 'looking'. I noticed more friend requests but I decline those unless they are people I know from interacting with them. Frankly, there is nothing worth my time in the last 2 months. |
