Now, i'm not talking about any old law, like "Women have to walk around topless all the time", but actual law that you would like to see enforced, and law which could actually be introduced.

Personally, i would like th Right to Silence removed. Or if it cannot be removed, it should be changed that invoking the right to silence indicates participance in the offence. In all fairness, why should people ahve the right to silence? The only ones that use it are the ones who have something to hide...

Also, i would like life to mean life. Not 30 years/out after 5 or 7 on good behaviour.

And change prisons back to bread and water and breaking rocks.

Granted, it's not good for someone who is incorrectly found guilty, but thats a very very veery minor ammount of people, and if it means there's less crime, well it's all good!

anyway my law would be that non violent offenders have to do community service as part of their sentences.Most small towns dont have a big budget for public service workers,so they could be used to supplement the workforce and earn their keep.

our country is to protect the innocent, if we release 10 to prevent one that is wrongly accused then that is the goal. the founding fathers set up the peramitters so that those that are innocent are brought justice, all this knowing that GOD is the judge and we use His rules to let him cast the final judgement.

The right to remain silent invokes the right not to incriminate yourself. That is, the presumption of innocence. If you're accused of something, it's the law's burden to prove guilt, beyond some level of doubt. Also protects YOUR RIGHT not to be FORCEFULLY interrogated without representation if you should be accused of something you didn't do. (or did do)

If you take away the right to remain silent then your country becomes a police state. Our judicial system is based on innocent till proven guilty, not guilty till proven innocent. I support the accused right to remain silent, the right to defence counsel, and trial by a jury of one peers. I am currently a member of a civilian patrol group affiliated with the police. I have views that are considered pro law enforcement.

I also agree that something seriously needs to be done about our parole system.

Here in Canada we don't have a fifth amendment instead we invoke the protection of the Canada Evidence Act and the Charter Of Rights And Freedoms against self incrimination.

I have a law that I feel would help out a lot of people

If the government would give a huge and I am talking huge tax break to couples, where one of the two stays home, and takes care of the home, then there would be more jobs available, and family's would be family's again.

This would not only help the economy, but would benefit the children...........might even cut down on crime
