So the bosses came down to speak with me. They are going to close the Inn during the week in October. Only be open Friday and Saturday night. I can work the weekend and clean over at the other place and have 2 to 3 days a week off with less pay.

The kind of gave me a hard time about the pain I've been in. Brought up the interview back in March. I wasn't in pain back in March. Anyways, they are willing to work with me if I'm willing to give it my best shot. See how it goes kind of thing. I think having the evenings off and a couple days a week will make a huge difference in how much I can do when I do work.

did you get paid more when you worked twice as hard before?

I imagine they have pulled it before. They're saying we discussed things before I came here and that I've changed what I said before, but I didn't. I was interviewed for a different job so was honest about being able to handle "that" job with time off. I also told them I function better with two days a week off... and somewhat okay with only one day a week off.

I developed carpal tunnel after coming here to work. I did not have it before I started working here. Cleaning rooms is going to aggravate that and cause me to be in unnecessary pain on a daily basis my last month here.

I'm going to sleep on it, but I think tomorrow I will let them know that I will be leaving at the end of September.

No and they contradict themselves. I was just thinking about it and they never mentioned they close during the week in October... told me they run weekly specials.

There's been other stuff that she says and then says the exact opposite the next day or a few days later. And today even. She said she upgraded the room that's checking in because of the noise behind the other room with the horse stable. I told her the guest that just left complained about it. And then she said "Oh well, this is an island and there's stables next to us"

They started drilling me about my pain and said they get aches and pains and do the work. That her sister did it last year. I got really upset and told them I'm not them and that this job is not a good fit for me. That's when they backed off and said they'd work with me.

i say see if you can squeeze in with one of the kids long enough to get all the state stuff sorted and then bail in sept. then go see a concert

My thoughts exactly! I'm not staying for October. Pretty much all my issues physically and emotionally are directly related to job stress. This just isn't the right kind of job for me.

It's really hard for me to admit that, I feel like a failure because I can't "cut it"... but I'm not a failure, I have been doing it... it's just not worth going crazy over anymore and not worth the physical pain that flares up at any given moment. Like it is now... I'm still waiting for guests to arrive.
