“One Day”

I have waited so many years.
And have shed so many tears.
Will it ever be?
That I will finally see.
That one that is just right.
And my heart they will light.
Will they take me to that place?
And put that smile upon my face.
One must look through my eyes and see.
For I have an image of how it will be.
Once we lay eyes upon each other.
We will know there is not another.
That can make us feel this way.
And that this love will never go away.
Could that be a fairy tale?
And one thinks it could never prevail.
Well listen to me and hear my voice.
For that is what I believe and my choice.
One day you will see.
That is how life will be.
I’m not looking for a prince.
I just want that one that can convince.
Me, that his love he sends my way.
Is true and will always be there to stay.
