Hello incognito waving a warm welcome from nz ... you say it is over with your wife .... but it all sounds very raw .. be careful with your heart and the heart of others .. being in transition is never easy :-)

Im just trying to be transparent in my replies.
if someone asks the question i will gladly explain all to avoid and miss-interpretation.
the difference between raw and fact is perceived from ones own perspective.

i am not bitter in my situation as i do understand where i am and the choices that have been made and also the undoings that cannot be wound back.

so i apologize if i come across as the bitter and twisted / jilted husband that was.

but it just saves time of telling the same old storey just to be asked questions on bits that may have been left out to make it more glamorous than it was.

Bitterness was not what I perceived .. rather ... still hurting and coming to terms with your separation .

Amazing, My wife just decided after 27 years that she’s not sure she wants to stay married anymore. I know she has sneaking around for a while now but I was hoping she would change her mind. I’ve been away from this for far to long and I don’t like the idea of going forward alone. The only reason I’m here is to try to figure out what goes on now days and if a guy like me stands a chance.

I WOULD HAVE been married 32 yrs last fall. Year 20 was final.

Yeah, I married in 1985 and it lasted 25 years.
I loved her till I didn't, then I woke up, broke my rose-colored glasses and decided to put an end to a poor decision I made.
I took a severe beating because I chose poorly in my representation, Lawyers SUK.
All in all tho, I am better now than when I was married to a compulsive liar and manipulator.

A good book ~ Cutting Loose: Why Women Who End Their Marriages Do So Well by Ashton Applwhite

I sent it to an acquaintance last week who is married to a serial cheater/liar/emotional abuser.

The book uses examples of her research with women to encourage women how much better their life can be.
