Topic: Dangerous attitudes | |

the attitudes come from education and media and the messages those venues immerse people with every day, and the way in which those messages feed the need of the ego to feel superior.... so youre admitting that government run education is crap and teaching our children crap its about time you woke up to that fact. the media, you mean main stream media like CNN, MSNBC, Fox, ABC etc, okay we are getting somewhere Feeding ego Im not sure about and I said :' 'harsh' judgmentalism (cruel or severe) which is an extreme of plain judgmentalism
like those judging certain people on welfare and cheating the system? guilty. I think they are scum. and although I know it is common in these threads for people to simply regurgitate campaign slogans or cut and paste other people's perspectives, I am well capable of and regularly practice coming to my OWN conclusions and forming my own opinions
if you say so, but you haven't provided any evidence of that, but I will take you at your word. when I say financial hierarchy I Mean a hierarchy(a system or organization in which people or groups are ranked one above the other according to status or authority) based in Financial status
every system has that, in the marxist leninist government like the former USSR the executive members of the politburo were treated like royalty and received special privilege In western society self made people should be recognized for their financial achievements, nothing wrong with that, we honour our celebrities sports, musicians, acting for their achievements and status, why should business people be denied that? and lack of compassion and empathy are damaging our representative democracy/constitutional republic/country
because once people lose that, it becomes so much easier to start being divided from within in stead of UNITED ... as the title of the country might suggest and the more groups can be dehumanized in justification for inhumane or inequitable treatment... hmmmmmm, lets see how many groups have been dehumanized in American history? Native Indians? yes African American Slaves? yes Freed African Americans after the civil war? yes Chinese?yes Irish? yes Hispanics?yes Filipinos ? yes How am I doing so far? How many of them are dehumanized today? let me think? Still thinking? Give me a sec? Searching..................... Cant find any . but when we look at the OVERALL quality of their life, living conditions, community environment, safety, education, 'freedom', they really live dont live 'better' at all
do you understand the difference between Absolute poverty vs relative poverty? |

We said this in the other thread. Poverty is a none starter in the west (West meaning West of the Russian border) Those on or below the poverty line still have the big tv, computer, car etc. Where as diserli says, poverty in static or developing countries means walking 5 miles to get a bucket of water and waiting for a un bag of rice, which by the way has been genetically modified so you can't actually grow it by the greedy seed companies in the west. I understand that the people from these countries want to better themselves and the only option is to migrate! Where are all the god religious people who preach about caring for mankind? Seems an awful lot of God bless us but not them! While I'm at it, how many companies in the west exploit migrants for cheap labour? Why aren't those companies employing resident people? And yes, there are people who will work but couldn't survive on migrant wages! Well said My ex, for example, she is on the dole since November, only works 5-8 hours over the weekend. Refuses to work full time, because she rather helps her mother to mind her nieces, when her sister goes to the gym. But she is able to go on holidays twice a year, her son gets the latest I phones, and she forks out 400 quid minimum for Christmas presents. many in America live FAR FAR worse than your ex ... How can it be worse? Leaving personal reasons aside, this is stonewall welfare cheat, whereas genuine families are losing their homes, because they can't afford to pay then rent It's ok larsi, the more you don't help people the more desperate means they have to use to support there family. While all the time the others are getting cheap migrant workers to keep the prices down. There is a reason that for instance steel is imported. That's great that they put tariffs on it and other stuff. Be prepared for price increases though because that's how it works! |

Q> so youre admitting that government run education is crap and teaching our children crap its about time you woke up to that fact.
A> No. That is NOT what I said. Q>In western society self made people should be recognized for their financial achievements, nothing wrong with that, we honour our celebrities sports, musicians, acting for their achievements and status, why should business people be denied that? A> They shouldnt, but admiring some does not require looking down on others for their financial situation. Q> hmmmmmm, lets see how many groups have been dehumanized in American history? Native Indians? yes African American Slaves? yes Freed African Americans after the civil war? yes Chinese?yes Irish? yes Hispanics?yes Filipinos ? yes How am I doing so far? How many of them are dehumanized today? A> hmmm, it isnt dehumanizing to make light of Native history with sports teams named 'redskins' and how many representations do you see in AMerican culture or media (not sure you would know since you arent living here) of Native Americans that are 'positive' , if they are shown at all? African Americans. How is it that you think all the backlash against welfare began with Reagans prominent image of a black women receiving assistance, or the references even in these threads by Americans regarding their views about blacks and their violence or blacks and their welfare assistance? Hispanics. How many of the close the border images do you see that are reflecting anything but (hispanic) mexicans? How many stories are circulated with images of mexicans to garner support? How many Americans can see Mexicans as the Asylum seekers that they see Chinese as? do you not think these constantly regurgitated negative associations to these groups gives them a 'less human' value to the common American? |

Adding more money and programs has proven that it doesn't help end poverty. It's time to try something else.

Giving breeders more programs encourages them to keep reproducing. Stop rewarding then for having illegitimate kids and see what happens.

A> They shouldnt, but admiring some does not require looking down on others for their financial situation.
who is looking down at people because of their financial situation? I look down at welfare cheats A> hmmm, it isnt dehumanizing to make light of Native history with sports teams named 'redskins' and how many representations do you see in AMerican culture or media (not sure you would know since you arent living here) of Native Americans that are 'positive' , if they are shown at all?
no , because American history has always "played Indian" since the colonial days, from youth groups like the Boy scouts you know with the order of the arrow to many societies in America and it followed to sports teams. Do you think Native Indians are the only ethnic group to have sports teams named after them? Ever heard of the Notre dame "fighting Irish" or the Boston "Celtics" do you know what a Celtic is? How about the Minnesota "Vikings" There is a high school team called Coachella Valley High School, "Mighty Arabs" in Coachella, California there was a team in Pekin, Illinois Pekin High School used be called the Pekin High Chinks, they are now called the "Dragons" African Americans. How is it that you think all the backlash against welfare began with Reagans prominent image of a black women receiving assistance, or the references even in these threads by Americans regarding their views about blacks and their violence or blacks and their welfare assistance?
no, it started in the late 1960's under LBJ. nice try. Hispanics. How many of the close the border images do you see that are reflecting anything but (hispanic) mexicans? How many stories are circulated with images of mexicans to garner support? How many Americans can see Mexicans as the Asylum seekers that they see Chinese as?
the Chinese are not sneaking into the country, Canadians aren't sneaking into the country from the southern borders, who is actually sneaking in? do you not think these constantly regurgitated negative associations to these groups gives them a 'less human' value to the common American?
no more than southerners being called inbred hillbillies, or new yorkers called " yankee" as a derogatory term, Tea party members called "tea baggers" is one more important than the other? |

Giving breeders more programs encourages them to keep reproducing. Stop rewarding then for having illegitimate kids and see what happens. it cant work both ways, does money encourage people to be lazier or does it encourage people to create jobs ...lol not much data to truly support either extreme... |

Like you have said before, people stay in their situations. If you are raised with a work ethic, you always work to better yourself. If you are raised to sit and wait on a check, that's what you continue to do. It's time to cut welfare and instead focus on job placement and communities/families helping each other.
When the men come around to be serviced, these women can ask for help paying their bills/food. They need to be taught to use protection instead of running to the govt. |

People do get out of their situations in spite of, but more should be able to get out of their situation BECAUSE of if you are raised to sit around period, you will, if you are raised that your only value is in a paycheck you will do anything for money, I dont know if 'bettering' oneself plays a part except in the sense of bettering how others see or consider you. Everyone needs to be taught to use protection, it is the only way to truly avoid disease. pregnancy should not be seen as the ultimate 'tragic' result of sex. Economic politics also needs to be supportive of the ever growing demographic of single parents and the resources they will be needing to be both MOTHER and FATHER to their kids... |

I disagree. I think it's the woman's place to have a father for her child instead of relying on the govt.

it cant work both ways, does money encourage people to be lazier or does it encourage people to create jobs ...lol not much data to truly support either extreme... no offense, but this is why people are poor in life. Money brings out the true character in people . if you're lazy and you come across money youre not going to be motivate to work If you're a hard working entrepreneur and you have money it doesn't motivate you into making more money, your DNA of being a hard worker will. Lazy people are just lazy people, no matter how many opportunities is placed in front of them they are not going to pursue it because they are lazy. One of the biggest mistakes a successful person makes is to give their kids everything on a silver platter, not teaching them how to have a work ethic, Its hard to develop a work ethic when you have a nanny or maid make your bed every morning, cook you breakfast, lunch and dinner and you have to choose between driving your BMW or Benz to go shopping |

I disagree. I think it's the woman's place to have a father for her child instead of relying on the govt. We dont disagree, yet it is not within any individual's power to be responsible for what another individual does or doesnt do. So since women cant FORCE men to be fathers, it isnt their kids that should be left without as punishment. |

Cutting welfare will be a deterrent

Cutting welfare will be a deterrent to sex? I doubt it. |

Cutting it won't help genuine people, as it doesn't here. problem is with the cheats!
Not to be offensive but there seems to be a huge problem with helping people in the us weather it be benefits or having a health service! And it takes 2 to make a child, where are the fathers? Guess if they are on benefits to then it's no help! You can't say all on benefits don't want to work just as you can't say all black people are drug dealers or all cops murder black people! I think trump is not to bad personally . But do wonder how many people he and other greedy businesses made homeless in the 2008 crash? |

Where as diserli says, poverty in static or developing countries means walking 5 miles to get a bucket of water and waiting for a un bag of rice, which by the way has been genetically modified so you can't actually grow it by the greedy seed companies in the west. this is true LU (love you) but the piece is speaking of conditions, which doesnt mean ALL conditions (like what programs are in place) but some conditions (like concentrated poverty, physical ACCESS to places and resources for assistance, crime, drugs, lack of protection ... et cetera) “ “? |
