Kind of wondering why I seem to be really irritable of late...
For some reason or other I have a real short tipper, which is not really the usual me. I don't like it much either, yet I cannot seem to change it. Maybe it's cos I'm tired. Been so busy last few months and tbh I AM tired. I need a freakin' holiday! |

i loved visiting your country, but winter's perpetual grey, windy, and wet cold days did try me at times.
of course, it didn't help much that the massive house i was in was hard to warm properly and so i was perpetually cold when inside too. i'll have to visit in the summer next time. i understand that you get a few sunny and warmer days then. |

Weather has been bleeped up for at least the last 5 years. I think this is happening globally to be honest. Last 5 summers have been crap, never used to be that way. Cold house... stay in a decent house next time, lol. Most are okay, some older ones may not have great insulation. Mine isn't wonderful either during winter, esp upstairs: I got the angled roof through the bedroom and there's no roof insulation. So when it's about -10C I can turn the radiator on max in my bedroom, but it still won't get nice and warm. But this is a cheap and old council house (1963-ish), then you can get that chit. It gets windy here too as it's a stone-throw from the open sea. We're prone to get lots of storms here as well. The locals usually just shrug and don't bat an eyelid, but I'll never get used to it. |

i was staying with friends, so my choice of house was limited.
but, it was a beautiful old house, built in the early 1800s that had been nicely updated , but the heating system is older and probably needs some more new radiators added. as they no longer need as much space and are trying to sell the house i think they are hoping it holds out long enough to get them through the sale. |
