Insurance surprised
You see, that is one great thing about great Britain.
Completely free health care, other countries criticise us but we do look after each other weather your rich or poor!

Ok, that's my lesson for the day.
How about a nice cup of tea and a cake? waving

And the Irish health system is in tatters whoa

What does that mean larsi?

Dublin slang for in bits, out of order, brutal, etc.

But never mind, you are moving to England anyway

Time will tell... there's more to consider than health care.

Well, depends on what is about, this is the problem we have with the eastern Europeans, they come and take the hospitality jobs. they do work hard though.

So if I moved there would people resent me for taking a job away from the locals?

People rather trust their own GP, and spend days in A&E, moaning

Never had problems with co workers from Eastern Europe either, at least they don't pull sickos every weekend

No, the locals are to lazy thats why the Europeans do them laugh
Although. We are leaving Europe next year so I think things will definitely change!
Not sure how easy it would be for someone outside Europe to work here . Would involve visas.

I don't understand the leaving Europe thing? Europe is a continent with many countries... right? Or is Europe considered a country?

So what continent will the UK be a part of?

There is the European Union, and Schengen, and Europe as a continent

I don't understand the joke, but never mind, I'll google it.. not the joke, what I'm seriously wanted to know and understand.

European union is the whole of Europe plus the uk, joined together with trade and everything else to act basically as one but it was getting more difficult as the major players, France and Germany were dictating more and more rules for us. We had a vote and the results were to leave. Britain will be Britain again so we can make our own trade deals with the rest of the world instead of being told what to do.
It's a lot more complex than that, but basically that's what it is.

We fought wars to be not taken over and it's been done through the back door!

The likes of Switzerland or Norway are not in the European Union though.

And there is many Germans like me, who are very sceptic about the EU, but there is no referendum allowed in our constitution rant

This is the problem larsi,
For decades people in the UK have called for the vote on membership.
This government finally gives it to us which is our right. Basically the labour government were taking that right from us.
It's better for them because they can blame Europe for everything lol
