Depends on how fat the woman is... I can't carry 200 pnds very far or long... I have a hand truck I use for carrying my groceries down the long hallwayfromhell. It can handle 350 lbs, wanna borrow it?

Is the bride getting carried over the threshold old fashion I believe "old fashioned" is dragging her unconscious body through the threshold by the ankle. I think carrying her over the threshold is considered "traditional." "Modern" is attempting to go through the door at the same time. "Post-Modern" is having her sign contracts. Like consent forms, non disclosure agreements, a prenup, arbitration agreements, limited liability forms, government EEOE, OSHA, and harassment seminar training affidavits, and assertions that threshold queue entry does not represent social relationship power dynamic disparity.

Many moons ago, when my ex and I were married, I carried her over the threshold to the house we had.. Didnt put her down till we got to the bedroom.. Awee! Sounds utterly 'Romantic'

I've never been married but I'd say it depends on the bride. It seems a bit old school and corny but it would be easy enough to do if she liked that sort of thing.

If you don't weigh anymore than a 50 lb bag of feed it might happen but other than that you can carry me. I guess I will be walking. lol

Personally when I meet my other half, I would love it. It proves that I am his. But I've heard other opinions that it's old fashioned. I always thought this tradition was to keep her from tripping over her dress, but just looked it up and discovered it was started in Roman times to keep demons from following the bride into her new home. I think it’s romantic, but by the time I get married, he’ll need both hands for his walker.
