It would be really really weird to have only 1. Everyone has thousands of soulmates. Usually all your family, friends, (ex) partners are soulmates and often people that briefly come into your life too. They usually play a key part in your life, bring you something valuable you needed to know or learn. Meaning that a-holes often are soulmates too. A-holes typically are the greatest teachers :)

Now as for the one and only other half of your soul... you have only one that incarnated with you this lifetime. Not everyone will meet them, you have to be ready for that kind of connection.
Most relationships are with a Soulmate, which is not the other half of your soul.

Platonic soulmates I would say yes certainly, but a Romantic soulmate I would say not, but this is only my opinion.

For me there is friends an soulmates, but I would only pick one soulmate. And yeah, since we are spread around the world here, it is tricky meeting someone in person
