Yes it's miles away. Where I'm at is miles away from the Keys where I was living. The seasonal work is giving me a chance to travel. I have to fly everywhere, but eventually I'll have a vehicle, I hope, and I then I'll be able to explore the area more.

That's too bad. At the YMCA they have a lot of International Students that come to work. I don't know if any of the Volunteers are from other countries, haven't met any yet.

I'd love to be able to travel to another country. There's a few options as far as getting certified in "English as a second language" to go and teach English, also things in Health Care. But I don't have any Certifications as of yet, or a passport.

I think when it comes to going to another country, I'd rather just visit. One of my goals this summer is to get my passport, so maybe this winter or next Spring I will be able to do that.

It's exciting, but a little lonely sometimes. Eventually I would like to settle down somewhere. Right now it's kind of a choice, but also kind of not really having a choice. I can return to my previous job, but the living conditions I'd have to endure aren't suitable or okay as far as keeping my sanity.

I have to remind myself sometimes that it's exciting and I have this opportunity now that I might not have in ten years, so enjoy it. Sometimes that's difficult considering the circumstances for what lead me to doing this.

I haven't made any friends, lol. I've had a couple of acquaintances, my old roommate and I went snow shoeing once, but I've kept myself pretty boxed up and at arms length or more from getting to close to anyone.

That's another goal this summer. This job was about climbing out of the box and getting back to me... taking a risk and regaining my mojo, lol.
The next assignment will be about taking the risk to let others into my personal space and developing face to face relationships/friendships. It's been a long time since I've trusted that, it's time now.

I'm feeling much better. The lady for the Innkeeper position contacted me and was disappointed that I wouldn't be able to do it. She said she thought I'd be a good fit for the job. I told her I would be, but without transportation, going to the store in another town for food and personal necessities would be difficult.

I applied for another job in Maine. Of the 12 applications out there, I imagine I'll get something. My interview with the Mackinac Island job is on Tuesday. It's the weekend, so I imagine I'll hear back from others tomorrow.

I don't think she could have, there's no grocery store in town or public transportation. About the only thing she could have done was offer me free meals. The position might require transportation though, to get emergency supplies in case deliveries don't come.

There will be better offers. I didn't check out the town before I applied. I wouldn't have applied if I had.

Yes, I'm getting good with the cover letters now. I can change them better to suit the position. Feeling a lot more confident.

So Cool! I was able to renew my State ID by mail just now. So I don't have to go back to the Keys before the next job

Yes, I'm back... lol didn't go today, it was freezing this morning and Im worn out from yesterday. Amazing how much messing with a boat, even just sitting most of the time, will wear you out.

Ordered a new phone off ebay, so you probably wont see much of me until I get it.

I'm only assuming the phone got wet. It was white capping out there and it's possible. Or it just decided to stop charging. oh well..

Yes Mikey, I'm working tomorrow, had the weekend off so I work the next five days. All day shifts.

It would have been a pain to go back as far as getting reliable transportation from the airport and back again. I wanted to drop off some winter clothes and grab some summer ones, but I can always ship a couple things if need be. Or just hold on to it and carry extra baggage through the airports.

There's thrift stores for me to get summer things. It's mostly in case I get the Mackinac Island job. It starts on April 15th, four days after I leave here. This way I can either visit a friend, or stick around for three days after my last day of work.

It was the only one for yesterday, but made the whole day worth it.
