Ok, so I have an LCD tv, that for some reason, is stuck on full volume, I never turned it up that high in my life, but for some reason, its stuck there, and I cant turn it down.

My initial reaction was ghosts, but its not going away, so if anyone knows anything that I could try, short of taking it to get repaired, which I'll probably end up doing, please let me know.

You might want to put some more information down here before anyone can give you a troubleshooting answer. For example.

1. Is there any hissing?
2. Where you watching it when it went to the loud volume?
3. Did you buy it and when you turned it on it was really loud?
4. Do you try the volume buttons on the tv itself?
5. Are the batteries in your remote dead?
6. Do you have a stero system attached to the tv that might not let you control the volume with the tv remote?

1. No hissing
2. I had it turned off before it went to the loud volume. It started as soon as I turned it on.
3. Ive had it for about a year, bought from radioshack, never had the volume past halfway before.
4.-5. I tried both the volume on the tv and on the remote, and put new batteries in the remote.
6. I dont have the volume running to any other source from the tv, and I should also mention, that the volume display has been stuck on the tv ever since it started, and i tried turning down the volume, and it will go from 100 to 99 and then automatically back to 100

i would suggest calling the manufacturer

service number

enter the make and modle number in a good search

and look for a forum discusing it

how long have you owned it?

Sounds like the volume up button is stuck. that would explain why if you tried to turn it down it went back up and why the vaolume evel is always on display. that can be as simple as the button is jammed in, and if wiggled may come up, or it could be more serious like a loose wire in which case you will have to get a professional to take a look at it. hope that helps.
