I guess I am frugal, I don't want to spend money on something that I can get cheaper elsewhere.. If it is something big, I do my research in brick and mortar stores and or online.

I have been working on living with a "generous" lifestyle and you are right. I think for most people including myself the most valuable commodity is time. However, money is an effective tool of generosity. In my view, I believe that more important than what I give is why I give. As a young man, I often gave to get something in return. I would be "romantic" in a variety of ways because I assumed that I would be "rewarded". That isn't generous no matter how much I spent in time and money. Generosity is aiding someone with no thought of reward. For me, anonymity in giving is key. Wow.. I rambled and probably way too serious.. I should have just said, "nice post"
