Had an insight on my walk back from the dining hall. You asked when it will stop.
I believe being in love with love will stop when we meet the right one for us. That is when we will stop loving the feeling of love and love the person instead |

I’m not sure I understood what you’re asking although others seemed to, but are you asking if some people are in love with the idea of being in love.
If so then it would be a concern to me and I know immediately it would never work with me. Love addicts, for want of a better expression, seem to be in love with the idea of being in love. My concern would be what happens when the fire starts to wain a little and that initial spark is no longer initial. That amazing fairground ride that you fell in love with becomes predictable after 20 rides. Someone new comes along and you sense that same initial spark brewing. I’m not being paranoid and saying a Lady would drift onto the new kid in town, but for me that ‘risk’ would never be there in the first place. I would want a woman to love me as much in ten years as much as she does today, I’m not sure a love addict would love you as much in a month as she/ he does today. I’m not sure what a love addict could do to break the feeling or habit or whatever you want to call it, but I’m sure there must be something concerning psychology online. I think Tom wrote some wise words above as well. |

I haven't had much love in my life, so I don't know what it feels like and I'm not not really looking for it.

When do you say it is so?
You don't say it is so. You realize it is so. And that depends on your ability to discern reality from your delusions, the shortcuts you've made in your life as to what you think is. And the most efficient means of doing that is through the perspective of others as well as your own. Otherwise you sit around with self help books or psychiatrists taking months or years to learn what you could have in a meaningful 20 minute conversation with someone that actually knows you. Interpersonal face to face relationships are the best things for you. Most communication is not what comes out of your mouth. Online, impersonal, pseudo relationships are probably the worst thing you can do. How do you get over it?
Get over what? Get over being in love? Get over being in love with love? Chasing the dragon of an idealized emotional state? Just like getting over anything. You have to want to get over it. Then it kinda depends on how deep you went and for how long you went there. Every moment you are alive you are training yourself to see the world and behave a certain way according to how you think things are. Catch-22. The more life changes, the more effort you put into not seeing what you don't want to, the more shortcuts and automatic associations (emotional especially) you have to rely on and take for granted as true. The more you look to avoid not seeing what you don't want to, the greater the feelings of anxiety and insecurity become and inability to face reality. how to stop it being so?
That's pretty easy. Form new habits. Meet new people. Make bad decisions. Escalate emotional turbulence. |

Thanks ciretom As I understand it, you are saying that it’s a process/cycle that has a start and an end and that it’s not that readily recognisable if a person is just in love with being in love. And in order to avoid such we have to always be in touch with reality and be with real people. I just wish bad decisions can be avoided and the heat aches that goes with blessings to you ciretom |

here try this. do you feel this way because of the feeling you are getting or because of who and what he is? if it's a;; about the feeling then you are in love with love. if it's all about him then it's prolly the real deal. and i might add that in the very beginning you might not be in love with love, but in love with infatuation and and the newness A few have said this, but there is a difference in this between men and women that no one has mentioned: Men fall for who we and what she is. Women fall for how he makes us feel. So A) is perfectly all right, it's how it works in women. |
