Omg that was good. They had 12 countries represented, a little taste from each country.

Another very cool part of the evening was that the HR Director from here, and an HR lady from Estes sat with me and the lady I was sitting with.

She's going to make the Estes Center trip happen for me and some of the older staff here. Told me to come in tomorrow and she will make sure the plans get underway for an overnight trip. bigsmile

And they told me to talk to the programs director here and if she says I can switch to programs in the spring, then I can work either here at Snow Mountain, or go to Estes to work for the summer.

Either way, I can stay for the summer. My boss said I can do another four months in food service, I just would like to try something new. Athena, the HR Director is supportive of that, but I still need to talk to the programs boss.

It's been a wonderful and delicious evening. drinker

That's great!.. what's Estes though? You'll have to get some cooler clothing to wear. Maybe your sister can ship you some?

There's thrift stores here.

Estes Park Center is the main YMCA of the Rockies. It's on the other side of the mountain. In the summer months it's only about an hour away, but the shorter road is closed for the winter so it's about two and a half hours away.

It's a lot bigger than Snow Mountain, I'll probably stay here for the summer, but I at least want to visit there. It's been really hard to get a trip planned, but tonight the other lady I work with was talking about going there too, so I said something about wanting to go and the Director said they will plan a trip for the older staff.

Interesting, if you're into that kind of thing. laugh

1st on was Animals with Cameras. They attach cameras to different animals to get a first person view of their behavior.

The other was Nova. They found a 13000 year old skeleton of a adolescent girl in an underwater cave on the Yucatan peninsula along with bones of at least 13 other species of ice age mammals.

I would be interested in those shows. I like the animal planet kind of shows and archeology is pretty cool too.
