oops Have to be very quiet bigsmile

I just got off the phone with unemployment. The lady told me I am supposed to continue looking for work and that will help solve all the issues I've been having with them.

I thought since I was working, I was exempt from searching. slaphead

But, it's a seasonal low paying job, so I'm still required to search. She said to target jobs that are beginning sometime in April.

Time to update my resume again and start sending more out. Can be anywhere in the US bigsmile

So nice of her to be so helpful and tell me how to do it in a way that I won't lose my benefits happy

At least not until I get a decent paying job that is.

They probably explain it in the handbook, but it's like foreign language the way it's worded.

The people at the work force office in the Keys helped me with my initial claim, but they didn't go over what to do if I did get a job. So yes, it would have been nice.

do you think they hire especially twisted peeps to make those handbooks nearly useless???laugh

Probably laugh

I think they're hoping people don't understand, or aren't smart enough to call and investigate...saves them money that way. think

Omg yes, I've had one of those jobs, lasting about three hours I think, lol,

If I hadn't walked out, they would have fired me because I refused to do the rebuttals when someone said no

I've done the same from time to time. Although I try to be nice about it.

The place I was working for was supposed to be no pressure and all incoming calls. It wasn't so I left.

i found an even more rewarding and beneficial method.
when they've finished babbling through their pitch (that i wasn't listening to, except for the pause at the end) i tell them how interested i am, then feign a minor emergency that requires me to put them on hold.
then, i lay the phone down so that they can hear background sounds.
about 15 minutes later, i hang up the phone.

they almost always call back whereupon i repeat the process.

not only don't they call back that night, i usually find that i've been removed from their list.
and, apparently from other lists as well, because the calls slowed to a trickle.

it seems they think their time is valuable too, and don't like having it wasted. smokin
