Chains of Fear

Tell me there are no others
Break these chains of fear,
Break the links of doubt
So I can wipe away the tear.
Everything feels so right
But my past keeps haunting me,
Please help me break these links
So that I can be free.
I miss having that love
That two people actually share,
Cause I was knocked down in defeat
My dignity left beyond repair.
No more holding hands
Or any affection to show,
I was lost without feeling
What was I to go?
Now that I have found a renewed hope
Since you've entered into my life,
It is hard to break those links
That I carry on in strife.
I hate what my past had done
Always leaving me in doubt,
But that feeling of love you give
I can't seem to do without.
It's been so long since I've felt
These feelings you have bestowed,
My life feels complete
With all that you have showed.
I believe in all you say
It comforts my heart at ease,
I hope you understand
And can bear with me, please.
I don't doubt you or fear you
It's these chains of fear,
They blind me and bind me
To keep me from seeing clear.
To have you and to hold you
Would erase all doubt,
To feel you love and soul
That I can't do without.
So now my darling
I beg of assurance from you,
To know we have a future
In all that we can do.

Words may create music for your ears,
let her actions make your soul dance.
Her actions alone will erase your fears.
Then those chains will melt on their own,
faith and love in action, this must be shown.
