I haven't caught on to what "scrobbling your music" means. Can you tell me?
Sure, Post this already about 20 pages ago. I'm nearly done scrobbling my music library. After that, I will get some artist suggestions that are based on my libray of music, which should open some new ideas for music I haven't considered yet. Plus, it will allow people that play my radio station at spotify based on my collection of scrobbles a greater selection of music to choose from. Dam tom! I thought I had made that word up! It was my bait, I was hoping you will ask what it is! Then I was going to say I'll tell you if you tell me what scrobbling mean Don't you just hate it when a plan 'doesn't 'come together How's things with you? Mikey Mood wise wonderful Health wise slightly better than average but lately average has been severely lower than in the past. I didn't know what your word was. Hadda look it up. Scrobbling is the act of using windows media player and the Last.FM app (Scrobbler) to record the music I am listening to into my Last.FM profile. Last.FM logs the music as you play it. Other last.fm members can follow you based on the profile you scrobble. Last.FM shows your music interests, gives your trending report, even has the ability to allow others to listen to a radio station based on your music library. Here is a random screenshot of the scrobbling app. The scrobbler is on the left and wmp is on the right. As the song plays, the line and QS at the upper middle rt of the scrobbling panel turns red. When the QS lights red, that song is scrobbled to your profile. I get new songs and change my music collection on a constant basis. Every 2 years I do a backup archive. When I do the backup, I play every song. I fix spelling errors and make sure the album art is right. I scrobble my entire collection as I zip the folders. This way, I have an accounting of my collection and a backup in case something goes wrong. Here is my Last.FM profile http://www.last.fm/user/tomishereagain Here is a small collection of screenshots of my music collection at pinterest. http://www.pinterest.com/tomishereagain/my-music-collection/ According to my Last.FM tracker. My last full scrobble, done in 2016, I had 28,000 songs. This year, 2018 full scrobble, I am currently in the "R" letter of my collection and I have 26,000 songs. I started scrobbling my entire collection on 3 January 2018. I have been scrobbling non-stop since. (most of the time WMP is muted) I'm not sure if you can view the report but here is a link to my weekly listening report http://www.last.fm/user/tomishereagain/listening-report/week I'm averaging 243 Scrobbles per day |

I didn't realise tom that it was last fm was developed here in 2002! http://www.last.fm/about Last.fm is a music service that learns what you love. Create your own profile, track what you listen to (we call this scrobbling) and get cool stuff like your own music charts, new music recommendations, and a big ol’ community of other music lovers. Your Last.fm profile is like your musical calling card. When someone asks “What music are you into?”, your profile has all the answers; your all time top 10, your favourite new release, or that track you’ve had on repeat all week. It’s everything you really listen to. Because you’ve got a record of everything you listen to, you can discover things you never knew about your listening habits. For example, find out when you first listened to your favourite band, or what time of day you listen most. We help you uncover the secrets of your listening history. Sometimes it’s difficult to find new music. What you need is an expert who knows your taste inside out to do the hard work for you. We make discovery easy by recommending things you’ll like, based on your taste and the taste of other listeners just like you. Meet Your Musical Soulmates Music’s a lot more fun when you’re sharing it with someone. On Last.fm you can find like-minded music fans and discuss everything from your favourite artists and albums, to the latest obscure genre or big summer festival. No matter what you’re into, everyone’s welcome. Okay, now that's over, I need commission from CBS Interactive for the advertising I provide. Waiting on the check in the mail.... |
