I have always loved the old movie musicals from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. I am 58 years old and became interested in musicals in 1974 when I was 15 years old and saw the movie THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT where film clips were shown of all the old MGM MUSICALS. Many of these great movies are shown on TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES. If you like these movies as much as I do, It would be so nice to hear from you and discuss our favorite musicals and favorite movie stars from those movies. Sincerely, Jay

My all-time favorite (wouldn't really call it a musical) is
Cleopatra (1963)
The one with Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Rex Harrison.
Such a rich and vivid film, just like The King and I.
The 3 hr runtime is barely noticed because the film is so engaging.
