what would you say about forbidden love

in the US emotions are not forbidden,

not hate, or joy, or happiness, or sadness,

and likewise, we have always been free to 'love' whoever we want


the law does get involved, however, where SEX and/or marriage is concerned

non consensual sex, if it can be proven, is a crime

and certain types of consensual sex can also be prosecuted, as in sex between relatives or certain ages, which is also the only remaining legal restriction to marriage between consenting adults

and sex with anyone under 'legal' age except with someone else under 'legal' age can also be prosecuted, and is disallowed from marriage, except in some cases where parents may sign off

and adultery, of course, is grounds for divorce

That it is 'forbidden' for a reason.
