Snow will be here soon.
Though it seems there is lees of it now, compared to when I was a kid, it still shows up from time to time.

I recall snow deep enough to make tunnels.
Also, I still like shoveling snow. As a kid, I made pretty good money at it.
A friend and I would charge $2 each for sidewalks and $5 each to include driveways...nearly EVERY door we knocked on accepted the offer.

When I was young the world was much different. My neighborhood was my world. I remember when I got my first ten speed bicycle on my 13th birthday. It was the day my world began to expand beyond my neighborhood. That was a fond memory.

My childhood. My grandparents. I wish I could go back in time but I know I can't. I just live with the memories and I'm happy. Thank you sir for posting this.

Going to the woods with my dad :) Often he wanted to take a lot of time to spot a particular bird he knew to have a nest there and I had to be quiet. Of course as a young kid you find something to do and I made dolls from long stalks of grass to play with.
Sometimes when we went home after a long long walk through the woods, and I was unbelievably tired. I was too old to be carried (approx 6) and then my dad would sing a song and we'd each sing a line in turn. That always cheered me up for a bit, helped me to at least make it back to the bicycles.

Very fond memories indeed, I spent a lot of time with my dad

speaking of snow ... I have a found memory ... going to NY small town beacon and coming in at Christmas... with all the decorations the deep snow in the small city with my dad and think bro ... just beautiful...and that was when my grandmother was still alive... so I was very very young... snow now is nice if you have know where to go other wise ...do not like it ...

best memory as a teen was living in Rapid City SD, with my dad, and going on hikes and sight seeing all the awesomness the Black Hills has to offer
