Abra Big Time Kudos.....you came really really close.

"When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seen was sown beside the road".

"And then one on him seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word, and immediately receives it with joy;

Yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary , and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away.

"And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world, and the deceitflness of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty"

As I have stated in previous posts...

Bible to me is the infallible, inspired, inherent Word of the Living God. I believe each and every word from Genesis to Revelation, cover to cover. It is the owners manual for human being-a must read. And one of my jobs as a Christian is to "Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks me a reason of the hope that is in us with meakness and fear."

You never say which Bible you use Feral. So since you have this powerful book tell us all, is it the King James, The Good News, which Bible are you calling the exact word for word word of God?

Which one feral

There are different versions of the bible but alot don't change what the meaning is....they just change it to make man understand it a lil better. I use the NIV KJV and my fav is the New American Standard The Open Bible Study Edition...great great study bible.

The Holy Bible is a collection of books written by man, dictated by God. It is the Word of God. It's a guide to how we should live. That's how I see it.

Are you saying the Jewish or Catholic versions are the same?
How about the Islamic version? And if not which is the "right" one? And which is the one we should believe "word for word"?

I was raised Baptist with the KJV Bible. I was also told (by my preacher and family) that if I fell in love with and married someone of a darker skin color (since they were damned by GOD) that GOD would punish me by making my children retarted...

WHAT?!?!? "GOD loves ALL the little children" Remember?

Can you see my problem?
Again, "Humanity"

yes that is exactly what I am saying.....Now this doesn't apply to all bibles at least not for me....mormon written to fit their needs, Scientology written for their own needs...but most have the same context just written a lil different. I would have to say that Jahovah Witness believe it or not stay the most true to exact interpretation of the Bible.

Thats ridiculous....and I would love to see any scripture that ever says that......And shame on your pastor and your family......It makes me sad...because stupid people turn people from God's true intention for them.

If the Bible answers all the possible questions of humanity, as some fundamentalists belive, than the answer to the OP question might well be that the Bible IS The Tower of Bable incarnate.
For it is a tower built on the poor communication of humans and designed to reach into the heavens and touch the hand of God.

Of course we all know that the tower was destroyed, because the mind of man was directed only on the heavens, and not on the business of life. So those who walk the winding staircase, one page at a time one verse at a time, walk in circles and go nowhere. The walking gives the illusion of moving 'up' because the eyes and the mind are consumed by the heavenly, when the earthly is the domain they were assigned to explore.
