A man should have the following body hair: chest hair, arm and leg hair. He should do some pruning around the nether regions (manscaping) and trim the armpit hair, and that's it. No back hair and backside hair. And definitely no hair on the soles of his feet. 
I'm lucky, I'm not a Sasquatch. The nether regions are tackled on a regular basis.. other than that, just don't have a whole lot. |

This ^^^^ And hair on the upper arms should be dealt with too. Same for hairs growing on and in the ears and out of the nose. And at a certain age grooming eyebrows is no luxury either. |

I dated a guy years ago that was pretty hairy, he said it helped keep him warm in the winter months. 
I don't have a problem with hairy guys, but being nicely trimmed is more appealing to me. And if he can tolerate occasional postmenopausal facial hair, then why would I complain about him having back hair. Especially if he wants help shaving it.
